Even though that Jason and I don't agree overall, I think his point was how heavily skewed the debates were towards our actions at the borders. I'm all for taking care of people who need it and think that our practices currently are completely abhorrent and need to be changed immediately. But during the debate the focus was so heavy towards immigrants that it seemed like the best way to get healthcare was to be one of them instead of someone that's currently a citizen.
While it's great that they're at least feigning compassion they're putting so much emphasis on helping immigrants that it's going to play very very poorly with the average moderate that will feel like, once again, they don't matter to the Democrats because they're in the wrong electorate.

it is super hypocritical for all these democrats to suddenly act like they are appalled by what is going on at the border when the exact same thing has been going on at the border for the entire obama presidency.do things need to change.of course they do BUT obama deported more people at a faster rate than trump and that is conveniently forgotten .biden was right in there as guilty as anyone .trump didnt built these camps and he didnt invent ICE either that was bush jr. for the democrats to suddenly act like this is a huge crime by the trump administration is so fucking fake it is unbelievable .if trump is literally hitler because of this then so is obama. i didnt see any of these guys preaching open boarders when they were in power. the 2020 democrats are so far from the bill clinton or even obama democrats that they might as well not even be the same party . almost every item that was discussed at the debate had to do with illegals .free shit for people who are not even citizens. well what about the actual people who you are elected to represent? what about the citizens? free shit for everybody is a nice idea but is not sustainable at all.
