So when I was working for Wendy's international in 92 we were sent to a week long leadership council. One of the team building exercises was to write down a personal truth about ourselves and then we had to guess who the truth was about.
Someone had written down I had raced Carl Lewis in High School and beat him. No one could figure out who it was.
For those we couldn't figure out they would raise their hand and say what they did at the end of the session.
A 5'4" 220 butterball raised his hand at the table across from me and said he had beat Lewis.
Without thinking I blurted, did you roll down the hill after him? Everyone laughed, I would have been fired 100% in today's world and still feel shitty for saying it.
But I met a man who beat Carl Lewis in High School so I got that going for me.
lol not really , I grew up in the 70's/80's where sarcastic humor was considered an art form and I am able to work with it like Michelangelo worked with marble. I am better keeping in check as I get older
