Yea but who did he beat? Again I like Rickels but lightweight gatekeeper is all he is so moving up and getting starched by MVP isnt that impressive.
For MVP, it's moving from good but unproven Fernando Gonzalez to fighting a guy who has fought for a title. Which is a step up in competition.

Rickels is by no means a world beater, and I'm not saying this win catapults him to the top of the division. But it is a step in the right direction.

Chalmers is just an hard bastard and outclassed the other guy. Nothing fishy about it.
Yea I was impressed. I also admire the fact he quit that show to focus on MMA because people were saying it's just a gimmick

The way everyone talks about MVP he should be fighting better Comp than inflated lightweights at this point.

It's unfortunate that Scott is allowing that kind of shit to happen just to attach the Bellator name to some trash instagram famous nobody...
1. Coker has always done things like that
2. It made smart business sense

Coker needs to make money this year. If you are an MMA fan, start cheering loudly for anything that brings attention to Bellator.
Especially if you want a #2 promotion stateside

MVP should've been fighting better comp than that 3 years ago. By now he's over 30 y/o and must indeed slow down and start looking for friendly matchups.

So a fixed fight by a guy who is known on a show that no one really knows outside the UK is going to help him stateside?

I respect the knowledge of the tv biz u bring but not sure of the logic here. Without PPVs Scott needs bigger ratings in the US. Some tatted reality star from the jersey shore of England doesn't do that imo.

I guarantee it helped the ratings & gate in England & that was the priority for the event
I never said anything about it being fixed
If that is what you meant by your post, that is different
I don't see it as being a fix, but if you do IDC

All is good & thanks for the respect

I was going to say what Frankie just said for Frankie but since he responded I'm just going to say Hi.

Also, I don't think that Coker or Dana would knowingly put their organizations at risk by promoting a fight that they have a part in fixing.

But...

If they happen to schedule a fight with some unique characters on their event and it happens to get a little squirrelly without their knowledge and it's good for business then so be it.
