Excuse my ignorance. You're right, it's not bang's gym. Tj asked if he could come along after I fact checked myself.

Seems as if t.j. wanted it to be an amicable split via this article:
T.J. Dillashaw leaving Team Alpha Male, still working with Ludwig

Seems like sour grapes from where I stand though on the part of TAM.

Def sour grapes. They groom a world champ, and soon as he makes it, he switches camps for money without giving them the heads up.

I have had an expience like this so I'm very empathetic to TAM.

I had a employee, close friend, and hired him to work for me. I trained him and paid him well, put up with a lot of his crap. He then went and opened the same type of business on the same street while taking my best employee with him. (He offered them partnership, that ended up not working out, employee came back. I was happy for my other employee because he was getting partnership and still have a good relationship with him.)

I had to hear from another friend and a vendor. Turns out he was planning this for months and never told me.

I would have been happy to see him move on to bigger better, isn't the only time an employee has left to do that. I am always happy to see someone do well.

But give me notice so I don't look like an ass and I can prepare for it. Tell me first. I don't want to have to hear it from one of my vendors and be the last to know. He owed me that as a professional and a close friend.

I personally believe had Mendes and Bang been working full time during the Aldo/Mendes 2 fight he would have been the champ. Supposedly they were training off and on, while Bang was relocating himself in Colorado.
I agree.

I accidentally left that detail out myself, but TJ wouldn't have gone to Elevation if Bang wasn't also in Colorado. It is still essentially him leaving Faber for Duane, though he will actually be getting paid to train at MP with Elevation.
Ok. That's fine if people don't like that. Where's the similar outcry for Bienvenidez, or Garbrant? They left to cross train as well.

It just doesn't add up I'd all I'm saying. I must be missing more information. Otherwise it doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with your situation entirely, sucks that happened to you.

However from my understanding of t.j.'s situation, he told them before he left. He may not have given "2 weeks", but I think that was smarter for him. People with sour grapes like you mentioned could have potentially fucked him over in some way, either by not training with him i.e. "fuck that guy" or tried to hurt him in training i.e. "motherfuck that guy".

You're right. Different situations.

For me, loyalty is one of the most important qualities in a man. I think faber has it, and TJ doesn't.

I'm all for people doing what's best for them. I would have like to see TJ do it in a fashion while staying loyal to Faber.

Loyalty can be one of the best qualities in a person. 100% agree, as long as it's earned.

Some people can misplace their loyalty to the point of fucking themselves over though. At what point do you cut ties instead of breaking bread?

I suppose my point is that I feel T.J. gets shit on way more than appropriate to me.

Again, I could be wrong because I'm missing some info. That's why I was asking. I didn't know the whole story.

No I absolutely agree with you. I am just saying that I highly doubt it is as clear cut as "this side was right, this side was wrong." I tend to side with TJ myself but I have seen some stuff that makes me have sympathy for Faber's side of things as well.

As a side note- you can hear the frustration in the TAM camp when some of them are asked about it, and they don't seem to be frustrated with TJ. Mendes particularly sounded annoyed at how Faber has handled things. It was the last time he was on the MMA Hour if you want to hear it. That's what I took from it, at least. PVZ seemed frustrated too but she's still such a poster girl that she kinda stayed out of it.

I don't get why t.j. gets shit on for wanting to train where he feels it will best serve his career.
I won't shit on Tj for doing what's best for himself. But i really get to appreciate all the loyal guys much more like the Diaz bros and their team.

Gotcha. For sure, it's always tough when someone you care about chooses to go in a different direction than you. I empathize with tam in that regard.

I have umbrage with the fan base shitting on a fighter that just wants to be the best fighter he can be. Not tam.

faber is salty because the game has passed him by and one of his students became champ .faber is no longer the top dog of the midget weights and it is a blow to his ego

I somehow think Cruz played a role...a more important one that we can see..I hear he's a mastermind...perhaps a psychopath..with a lot of time on his hands and little emotional attachment to anything. Probably did it just to watch them cry.

lookoutawhale @lookoutawhale is the best in the biz imo.

Dom's sharp as a tack and he knows how to push buttons well. Could be a bit pathic either psycho or socio, but i'm no head shrinker. I do know that that type of person tries to find exactly the right thing to say to get under your skin, but i'm leaning more towards he's an expert tactical strategist.

Makes sense though doesn't it? All the other kids got together and talk shit, form a little group hatin'. while he's tending his wounds they get his belt...He lays low working on perfecting his defence, sticks and stones can't hit his bones and words could never hurt him in the first place. They created a monster.

There is an idea of a Dominick Cruz; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real Cruz: only an entity, something illusory. And though he can hide his cold gaze, and you can shake his hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense your lifestyles are probably comparable... But you try to punch him and he simply is not there.

That's pretty creative homie. :D

Tactical thought: If a weapons platform is so mobile that it's hard to target, you should attack the mobility instead.

Yh TJ needed a lot more leg kicks...Cruz does catch quite a few though so thats a great deterrent.

Cruz's tactical thought is more of the divide and conquer school.
