Lord Janner just passed away and no one thinks it convenient given the trial for sexual abuse next year, nor is anyone questioning it.

Wasn't his sister or other relative recently put in charge of investigation of historic child abuse?
Second line nailed it from my view point, nearly all governments the world over seem to have a public spokesperson IE the President/PM then there are the schemers in the back ground who are controlled by big business and to a lesser extent lobby groups.
We make fun of corruption in places like Thailand and Mexico but the corruption there is more equitable in that it is accessible to everyone and they pay proportionate to their income whereas in Australia big business and the Government are corrupt as fuck and the rest of us must follow the rules or else.
Where I live used to be where you came to live the Aussie dream (big yards, big houses, low pop density) then almost literally over night the government zoned it as high density meaning the are raising the houses to the ground and building 8-10 story apartment block but NO additional road, schools, public transport, medical, sporting facilities, parks for the kids care etc etc Some Saturdays there is a line of kids 20 deep waiting to use the fucking seesaw at the park haha so sad
Every single case that has been brought to the land and environment council against developers by the residents has been ruled in favor of the developers, every single one. Seems awfully suspect to me
