Fyodor Dostoevsky's great-grandson, Dmitry Dostoevsky, has died. He was 79 years old.

This was reported by the deceased's relatives. Before retiring, Dmitry Dostoevsky worked as a tram driver in St. Petersburg and mastered many other professions. In addition, he starred in films, such as Pavel Pavlikovsky's documentary "Dostoevsky's Journey."

I like Dostoevsky so much. Apart from well-known books, he's got so many lesser known things that are fascinating. I just read "Humilated and Insulted" last month for the first time in my life, pretty amazing!

First published in 1861, Humiliated and Insulted plunges the reader into a world of moral degradation, childhood trauma, unrequited love and irreconcilable relationships. At the centre of the story are a young struggling author, an orphaned teenager and a depraved aristocrat, who not only foreshadows the great figures of evil in Dostoevsky's later fiction, but is a powerful and original presence in his own right.

I've got his library on audible.
The way things are going I'd better get hard copies.
