I've been really thinking about buying an arcade emulator lately, family friends of ours had us over and they have an old arcade machine that's retrofitted with a raspberry pi and it was alot of fun to play

Learn me emulators, maybe doing one on a wii so we can have wireless remotes?

RetroArch is a great front-end for managing an emulation library. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's worth figuring out. R Pi 3 will emulate up to PS1. Anything more and gameplay will be too choppy.

Not sure about hosting on a Wii but Bluetooth controllers are a dime a dozen these days. I'd build a microATX PC for an arcade cabinet so I could emulate up to PS3 and play more modern games. Wanting to build one with a friend for Christmas this year.

getting some mario kart or party going at a party is always the best. a friend of mine has a switch which is a lot of fun but... not the same!
