Explain to me how Conor is going to beat Jose

The mental gamesmanship might backfire. Conor might be the one who is overwhelmed by what he talked himself into. A pissed off all time great, still in his prime, is a nightmare. Conor might have been able to steal a win from Jose the Merciful, but Aldo is so fucking motivated, that Conor is going to have to be close to perfect to get this thing done.

SBG is a great, and very intelligent camp. They're going to have Conor prepared for Jose's leg kicks. Don't think for a second that he hasn't been working on counters to that for the better part of a year without a break.

First let me say Hominick has far better hands than Conor and he left with a second head after being out struck by Jose. Florian was considerably bigger than Jose and he was man handled. Kenny also said it was three to four months before he had full felling back in his legs from Jose's kicks. No way Conor's tiny ass legs are going to handle it. I bet Conor trys to jab and move no way does he trade with Jose, no way in hell.

It's not even just the taunting. Having someone constantly in your face, constantly making you react, is mentally tiring. There aren't the normal breaks or lulls you get with most other fighters. Nick Diaz and Frankie Edgar created a new metagame within MMA striking, which is about consistent output, and Conor takes that to the next level. One thing that that makes him stand out from those two, in terms of striking, is his legit power in his hands. Conor has soul crushing power when he hits guys, you can see it in their eyes and actions after taking a shot. Robbie Lawler has that same kind of power. GGG has that same kind of power.

I think Conor is faster. Maybe not as fluid with the combinations but when it comes down to it, if both fighters threw at the same time, I think Conor would land first.
