It’s been a while. I looked at the serial number. Nothing special jumped out. My FIL worked for the State Dept, and they lived all over the world, mostly in 3rd world countries.

You know the manufacturer year? I'm not seeing anything online with those same stamp marks, it might be a very rare piece.
Only thing I am finding close is this from 1959 but the stamp isn't on the frame.

I think it's great. Mostly a range toy, but it would be a great trunk gun or backpack gun if things went really south and having a rifle on your person suddenly made reasonable sense.
I would say it is similar to a mini 14. Same type of action, but the KelTec is mostly plastic. This makes it lighter, yes, but it also makes them a little inaccurate. Like 2.5 MOA. That noted, I think it does exactly what it claims to do well, and as cheap as a KelTec can be, I think their designs are awesome and there is currently no other rifle on the market like it. I am sure Smith and Wesson will hijack this design too at some point.
