I seem to be able to tolerate less and less of anything Hollywood. I appreciate the realism the foreign films recreate. I was inspired by a thread mentioning a film I had just recently watched.
So here are some I can recall and recommend (None of these are light-hearted, they're all rather heavy):

The Secret in Their Eyes
The Lives of Others
(This may be the best film I've ever watched)
Pan's Labyrinth
City of God

What have you guys/gals seen that were worth your time?

I think this is one that tipped me over the edge, to me this movie is a steaming pile of dog shit. Despite the effort, it comes off as authentic as a 3 dollar bill with the wit of a dog chasing after a truck. Fuck Django.

The Chaser is a good Korean film I saw recently. About a former cop turned pimp whose stable of hos is being offed by a serial killer. Supposedly based on a true story.

Gomorra the TV show is better than the film, highly recommended.

As for films off the top of my head that havent been mentioned yet: Audition, Gangsters Paradise: Jeruslema, Un Prophete, Tropa de Elite 1 and 2

Tell No One - great French flick - the soundtrack is off the hook.

Memories of Murder - Korean film, Fincher borrowed heavily for Zodiac imo.

The Intouchables - Another French film. This one is a feel good movie.

La Haine

The Vanishing

Et Tu Mama Tambien
