I like all sorts of films, but I'll throw some out there

French : Martyrs (one of the most powerful and brutal horrors I've seen that stays with you)

Japanese : ichi the killer - excellent ultraviolent action

Korean - plenty of great action movies - The man from nowhere; I saw the devil

Bollywood (Indian) - 3 Idiots (cheesy overacted Indian, but probably best movie ever from that country).
