You have to check the label carefully. Some products are "dehancers"---they put them on the "antisupplement" shelf, always near the front of the store. See, that's how they trick you.Can you really call it "performance enhancing" after his last fight?
Wow great find on the pic. $100 says the chick on the left turned into a prostitute. Mir with the shaved brows and the hoops. Surprised he didnt have the frosted mushroom bowl haircut to go with it.Frank has always been one of my favorite fighters. After shaving I still do the Frank Mir checking of his cheeks after the Tank Abbot fight to show that he wasn't touched move. He does come off as a douche though, and his TUF showing gave me douche chills at times, but I'll always root for him. That being said, if he was on anything for that last fight he clearly did it wrong. The guy was fat, slow, and had a full on dad bod. How in the hell are you going to test positive when you look like shit?
PS: I came across this a while back, I assume it's him. WTF man, those ear rings and the shaved eyebrows? We would not have gotten along had we gone to the same school.

He might have achieved that state from an even worse one. Frank has been fighting a long ass time, been knocked out a lot. His body's been dragged through hell. So, it's possible the PED's got him functional enough to fight, without actually making him physically impressive. He might be beyond the stage where any PED's will work that well for him, at least at moderate doses. That being said, if he was on anything for that last fight he clearly did it wrong. The guy was fat, slow, and had a full on dad bod. How in the hell are you going to test positive when you look like shit?
It's really not.Im not very bright, but I think it's more complicated than that.
So you think anyone in violation of USADA tests can simply contaminate an open supplement and get a pass? You don't think USADA would attempt to obtain a shelf ersion, still sealed, and test that (or several), prior to rendering their decision? Again, I'm not a bright guy, but I'd think it would be a bit harder to plead your case than simply tainting a single supplement jar that is already open. It's really not.
They tested more than just the bottle of supplements Romero was using. USADA then gets a random bottle directly from the manufacturer and tests to see if it's contaminated with the same shit that Romero popped for. It's really not.
That doesn't prove that the one you got wasn't contaminated. Different batches made at different times might have been contaminated. Hell, even the first few from a batch maybe different to the last few if the machine isn't cleaned properly. They tested more than just the bottle of supplements Romero was using. USADA then gets a random bottle directly from the manufacturer and tests to see if it's contaminated with the same shit that Romero popped for.
Bingo... He's been on them.Frank Mir not considering retirement | The MMA Community Forum
"He's done. Steroids were all he had to keep him going, and I'm not convinced he's actually off them. Pretty sure he just knows how to do math."
Definitely him. He was a dick in HS.Frank has always been one of my favorite fighters. Funny referenceBummer! Hate when that happens.
"to compete." But he didn't say he didn't use them to train! LOL. Did Saul Goodman write this for Frank?
Signed, Lance Armstrong.
USADA has a lab purchase the supplement and independently test it....they dont just take your batch.....that would be stupid....you never put the defense in charge of excupatory evidence.....ask they guys who prosecuted OJ.....Well after what happened with Romero, if anyone who gets caught doesn't just contaminate their own supplements then send them off to USADA then they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Honestly... I think he really did need the TRT. WHY he needed TRT (past 'roid usage) is not what I'm saying, but I'm saying his body probably DID need the TRT.ohh mannnnn time to take a long hard look in the Mir, and come up with a good defence. Tainted sups? Romero is a revolutionary. Sex drugs? Worked for Andy!
I fear it may have been diuretics or some shit...he looked extremely off his game and out of shape would not be surprised if he cut for HW...
Then again...Kimbo was on roids......so if that's anything to go by...
Also, I agree with this completely. Frank's douchy and probably not a nice person IRL, but I have enjoyed his fights, I respect his ability, and he has been very important to rounding out the game of the HW division (he was doing subs as a HW when all that weight class was was two bulking guys swinging for the fences)Ah shit, this bums me out man, hope it's all bullshit and he can have a few fights to top off the retirement fund.
Yup its kinda sad actuallyHonestly... I think he really did need the TRT. WHY he needed TRT (past 'roid usage) is not what I'm saying, but I'm saying his body probably DID need the TRT.
I agree with you that he would do well commentating, he has done exceptional in the past, I think he would fit in better, maybe not live events but on a show like UFC tonight or ESPN ,breaking down fights and previewing match ups something to that extent . He has a wealth of knowledge and is very well spoken , I think he would serve well in that compactly. I'm a huge fan of Mir and I really don't want to see him KO'd anymore. Its on to the #UFCHoFHe would be great at that as well. He rubs some people the wrong way though. Vocalizing his knowledge of the sport in live events would be awesome if some get past the idea that he speaks a bit arrogantly. I personally don't think he does, but I see why some do.
I'd hire Saul in a hearbeat if I needed a lawyer!Funny reference
