YouLibtard is ok for videos I can’t find elsewhere. Other than that, I don’t waste my time

I've never ad blocked youtube, but there are a lot of ads now. I'm considering buying the premium even though I hate spending money. But I have a few streaming services that I rarely use and pay for yet youtube is 99% of my tv watching, it's all I basically watch on a television so I might as well not have ads on it.
This is exactly why they are doing it. To get people to buy premium.

I'm getting it on my laptop
There are many ad blocking add-ons. YT is trying to phase them out, but hasn't yet. On mine, I get a pop up at the beginning of the video to allow ads. I close it and continue, and ads are automatically skipped for me. This started somewhere around a couple of weeks ago. I use uBlock Orgin and Sponsorblock with Firefox. AdBlock Plus stopped working a while ago.

I think chrome might be the issue for me, but I find firefox to be much slower

Ublock Origin for set it and forget it. Umatrix for total control. Everyone was tricked into using Chrome. Still blows my mind.

I've noticed when I'm on VPN that YouTube will limit how many videos I can watch. It will work fine and then suddenly everything will begin showing "video unavailable".

I assume because they cannot directly tie the connection to a known user and the session cannot feed their analytics with the data they want.

I need to figure out how to get ad block on my fire Roku tv. YouTube is usually on there as background
