I got down and dirty today and my back is feeling it. I have a pluerry (plum and cherry cross) and shiro plum just waking up from dormancy, so I fertilized all my stone fruit trees and added fresh mulch. I'm really stoked on all my stone fruit since I bought them all last season, so I have yet to try any of the fruit (multiple varieties of nectarines and plums). I picked up a jalepeno and habanero plant at Home Depot when I was shopping for fertilizer and they have been sitting in the yard waiting to get planted, so I potted those bitches up. I wasn't paying attention when I bought the habanero, but I picked the bushiest one. Turns out there were three plants in the container, so BONUS. I separated them out and potted and fertilized. I need some more peppers, but I have some over-wintered tabasco and serranos. I then fertilized all berries, one of my lettuce beds (the newest one), herbs, citrus, carrots, radish, passion fruit and just about everything else, then mulched what needed to be mulched. It's supposed to rain late tonight through Monday morning, so this was the golden opportunity to get everything fertilized and rocking.
