That’s right it’s not the same, this issue is being felt around the world.. as opposed to the domestic cuts that were only felt in America.
We were exporting oil. So yeah, our supply had an effect on the overall market.

There is no way we will be ready for that. The infrastructure alone to facilitate enough charging stations - in cities, suburbs, rural and middle-of-nowhere highway runs - will take longer than that.
Combustible engines will be phased out. But that's an important word - they need to be phased out. Not forced out with an arbitrary deadline date or intentional hardships on the consumer.
I just went through 3 days of no power after a storm. Glad I have a combustible engine.

Just because electric vehicles are being phased in doesn’t mean gas or combustible engines are going to be strictly prohibited in a time of need eg. Generator during outages… or that old farm truck.
