Back to work and this is what I gotta deal with after being in Mexico and Florida over the holidays.

It's gonna warm up though so not a big deal.

6 more days until I'm back in FL!

Ugh. Hopefully those 6 days fly by. Good luck!
I complain about the cold in Ontario. I wouldn't survive an Alberta winter.

Like anything else you get accustomed to it. I laugh at people in the lower states wearing jackets and toques when it like 15C but I'd struggle to spend a summer in AZ. Coldest I've experienced is in the -40s and that's fucking brutal. Luckily my time is split between office and field much more now. One of the things I love about my home town Kelowna is that you get a good mix. Can get as high as the low 40s in the summer and as cold as -20 in the winter but those are the extremes. I love getting all 4 seasons every year.

It is fun to be walking around in shorts in Florida when others are in parkas. I'm not much of a winter outdoorsy guy so I could do without the cold and snow. We get a good mix out this way too.
I've never been to BC but have always wanted to visit. One day.

That is some nippy weather man. Does it get windy up there? Do you have guys working outside in that?
Wind gets nasty up here for sure, there's charts like this to use so we are aware what's going on.

There's guys outside but they are encouraged to come in for warm up breaks as needed. It's weather like this that makes me thankful I didn't get into the Lineman side of electrical, those guys are outdoors 90% of the time no matter what.

I was on a piling crew one year during the cold months. I can still hear the clank of driving that steel in the ground. It was the foundation for a hockey arena. It was cold as hell. A lot of dudes just could not take it and quit.

You're in Minnesota right? I'm sure it's gets bad there too.

Yeah man I'm in MN. Some winters are harsher than others. The same goes with snow. We haven't had big snow galls the past three years. I want some damn blizzards. It's still 20 above around here which is real nice. I haven't had to plug in vehicles at all.
