what I love most about this (other than it's Todd Snider covering a Kris Kristofferson song about Johnny Cash) is that if I could play guitar and I met Kris Kristofferson, this is the song I would play.

probably not country-enough...but it does utilize a harmonica and Todd sings with a wee twang...

Here is a little random Buck trivia my uncle sent me this weekend.



St. David is a very small town in the cornfields of rural central Illinois, near where I grew up. Maybe only a population of a few hundred people. No idea why Buck would have ever scheduled a gig there. Supposedly, the story goes that Buck pulled up to the tavern in St. David and sent a guy in to look at the place, and then drove off without playing. ;)
