After UFC 167, UFC president Dana White claimed St-Pierre had to be taken to the hospital before he went off on an angry rant against his champion.

Then a battered St-Pierre showed up midway through the presser, giving confused-sounding answers to questions before everyone took a long break in the middle of the presser so that St-Pierre could chat with White and UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta in private.

St-Pierre hasn't fought in the two years since that strange evening. And on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour, he revealed that his heart-to-heart talk with White and Fertitta on that infamous night in the desert was heated indeed.

The former champ said that he was very angry that the UFC did not, at the time, support his efforts to ramp up anti-doping testing, a subject on which he was very vocal in the leadup to the Hendricks fight.

"I'm not going to tell you exactly what was said," St-Pierre said. "But I was very pissed off and I used a lot of F words. ... I was very angry, they did not support me because of the testing issues for the doping, they did not support me for the anti-doping. And I told them, why they didn't support for this, and I didn't understand it. I said ‘you guys need to wake up, because a lot of people are cheating, and stuff, and it's a freaking joke. You guys are kind of protecting these guys, and it shouldn't be like that.' I was very angry."

St-Pierre expounded upon what he said recently said on Chael Sonnen's podcast, as he confirmed he was told that he wasn't allowed at the post-fight press conference.

"I didn't know something bad was going on until they say 'you're not allowed to go to the press conference,'" St-Pierre said. "I found that it was kind of weird, I was waiting in the locker room a long time, it was like, that was kind of weird. It wasn't until afterwards that I realized what was going on."

St-Pierre went on to say the UFC took away his belt after the fight. The company typically hands out a new belt after each title match, allowing the fighter who won bout to forever commemorate their accomplishment.

"I was getting stitched up," St-Pierre said. "I don't mind the belt, it's a nice gift. Every time I win a new belt, I used to give it as a gift as people who helped me, The first one I won, I gave it to my mother, the second one I put in my workout place. All the other ones I win I give to people who helped me ... They took the belt. It's okay, its only material, importance is the memory I kept from it, nothing take away from me."

The UFC has since brought on USADA to implement an anti-doping policy. But St-Pierre believes the company knew back in 2013 that fighters were gaming the system, and implied they turned a blind eye.

"Now that I look back, I know that they knew," GSP said. "I'm not stupid, I know it's business, you spend a million dollars promoting the fight, so they lose a lot of money. it's not in their best interest to make the drug test the best possible, because they lose money if the fight gets cancelled. So I told them it might take a year, you're going to lose money for a year because a lot of your main stars, a lot of your guys, will fall and test positive, they might hurt the image of the sport. But after a year, it will put back everything straight."

Lol. The depiction of fighters that speak their mind compared to that other place is like comparing Fox News to cnn. No disrespect meant to op, (in fact complimentary) but it's just night and day difference on their take on the same story. One seems to have some sort of company bias for whatever reason while here just gives you what st Pierre said in the context it was meant. I know it's from mmafighting.com, but I feel like when I read this somewhere else, I got the feeling st Pierre had aids and molested my dog. Here it seems like he's a person with feelings. Strange.

There was another one regarding jones' most recent interview that suggests jones' interview was 100% inaccurate, while come to find out, was strangely out of context. It lead me to believe jones' whole interview was completely fabricated went it was really a snip it of when the decision was made to strip him of the title. I am so confused right now.

GSP also hinted at UFC's partnership with USADA is more or less a joke.

He's still under contract? To not do something you love is hard especially if you getting paid off it. This dude is GOAT. Respectable, Athletic, Presentable. Hughes beat him and was talking mad shit about the armbar on tuf season. GSP stay quiet and I knew then he was going to beat him. Beat Hughes twice. Anybody that's beat him he has that win back. Sad to see him not do what he was born to.

It's great to see GSP shining light on Zuffa shadiness. Even at the time, their lack of support for WADA testing before the fight was a huge red flag. They've knowingly supporting cheaters for years, and lied about that and everything else under the sun whenever it suited their purposes.

Love the truth coming to light, and watching these chickens come home to roost.

I don't know. He mentions his contract here: VID - Georges St. Pierre Says Reebok Might Keep Him Out of The UFC But Not MMA | The MMA Community Forum But I can't tell if he means his contract is different than everyone else's, so he wouldn't have to deal with Reebok...or his contract is different from everyone else's, so he is free to go fight for another promotion. Listen to it and give me your thoughts please.

I feel for Georges. He strikes me as an uncommonly nice and honourable man even in an ordinary-world context, let alone in that of professional prizefighting. He seems to want to do everything correctly to the point of obsession, and to deal with shadiness and lack of scruples when you're that exacting can be a traumatic experience.

They took his belt?! That's just disgusting. :triumph::rage:

wow that is just low... take the belt away from your best champion so no one gets a photograph of him walking away as the champion from the sport.

stay classy UFC.

Thats some foul shit they took the belt from him. As much money as he made that company. For them to take it away is some low level budget shady promoter shit. I hate hearing this. Does anybody know what one of those belts costs?

Agree with what others have posted so far. Taking that belt from him was fucking bullshit.

TBH I was never the biggest GSP fan in the world (thought he was kind of boring the last 5 years) but he was a great champ, and ambassador to the sport. Made Zuffa millions and they shit on him when he wanted to take a break or retire.

My dislike of the Zuffa brass has really grown over the last 12 months.

There's just no boundaries to the low level scumbag shit they pull.

That's why it legitimately brightens my day when I hear about a new lawsuit or them getting denied in NY.

Never a huge GSP fan either, but I find myself liking him more and more since he left the UFC.

there is the real belt, and then there are replicas that the champs get to keep.. those replicas cost around 2k online... obviously tho, if its the replica given to someone like gsp, itll be worth tons more.

this is honestly why I root for the success of bellator. I know most don't like their freakshows and some of their decisions, but I honestly get happy when I see bellator get healthy ratings. I was also really glad when coker said numbers are up across the board and he has signed deals with 20+ countries.

MMAfighting updated the article to include this;

A UFC official told MMA Fighting that UFC did not prevent St-Pierre from attending the UFC 167 post-fight press conference, but rather the organization was informed that doctors had advised St-Pierre and UFC officials that he be taken to the hospital immediately for precautionary purposes. The official said that St-Pierre declined to be transported immediately, instead preferring to attend the press conference.
