A UFC official told MMA Fighting that UFC did not prevent St-Pierre from attending the UFC 167 post-fight press conference, but rather the organization was informed that doctors had advised St-Pierre and UFC officials that he be taken to the hospital immediately for precautionary purposes. The official said that St-Pierre declined to be transported immediately, instead preferring to attend the press conference.

wow that is just low... take the belt away from your best champion so no one gets a photograph of him walking away as the champion from the sport.

stay classy UFC.
Scummy, classless, shady, & shitty. It's interesting to look back now post-Reebok about how all this went down. They've been screwing fighters all along, the Reebok deal was just the cu de gras.

It's also great that some of their biggest stars & greatest champions (GSP & Bones) are speaking out.

So GSP was lying when he says that he was specifically told not to attend the press conference?
Bullshit. No one with even a modicum of common sense is going to believe Zuffa over GSP.

No wonder they fired him, if hes going to use cuss words to his boss then they probably had no choice
Once that level of disrespect is let out of bag its a slippery slope till the bag is empty & all fighters be cussin & hootin & snortin
One bad egg spoils the broth, get rid of the egg & the omelet is that much tastier

Little known fact, like Matt Hughes, GSP was a farmer

I don't know. He mentions his contract here: VID - Georges St. Pierre Says Reebok Might Keep Him Out of The UFC But Not MMA | The MMA Community Forum But I can't tell if he means his contract is different than everyone else's, so he wouldn't have to deal with Reebok...or his contract is different from everyone else's, so he is free to go fight for another promotion. Listen to it and give me your thoughts please.
What i got out of it is: that he has a contract without a reebok clausule because it's pre-reebok era, and he's probably got something in there saying he can choose whatever sponsor or apparel he can wear inside the octagon.
So the UFC can either let him fight out his contract on those terms, or cut him and make him a free agent and probably open there self up for a lawsuit for not upholding his contract.

Honestly, I'm just glad to see people appreciate everything he's done since so many comments about him were negative before he retired.

I kinda hope Aldo does the same if he wins as far as walking away, especially if it's a close decision, just so we can see Dana cry publically.

This is one of the most scumbag things the UFC has ever done. EVER.

How the fuck do you trash your champion who is an all time great, a company man who has done massive amounts to help this sport grow?

The UFC has done some seriously scummy shit in the past, but this is at the top of the list. And believe me, that is saying a LOT. I mean this is absolutely disgusting.

Taking his fucking belt? Not letting him in the press conference because Dana wanted to go on his little rant?

One day someone is going to beat that moron's ass.. and it's going to be the most long overdue, well deserved beating in history. The way he has disrespected and straight up trashed all time great, legendary fighters like Fedor, GSP and SO MANY others is shameful. No other way to put it. This fat fuck has never done anything combat related in his life except teach middle age women how to boxercise.

Too bad Matt Hume didn't do it back when he had the chance and told Dana straight up he was going to knock his fake teeth out.

Now I understand why Hendricks wouldn't let anyone near the belt, wouldn't let anyone touch it or take pictures with it. He them take it away from Georges.

Story please?
Dana said he was in contract negotiations with Hume, and one day they were in a conference room discussing the deal. Hume apparently didn't like what Dana had to say, and said "how about I come down their and kick your ass for ya?" lol.

Dana said Baroni and Koschek have threatened to fuck his world up as well.

Lol, you nailed it IWEI. I remember there was a video of Hume discussing it and I can't find it

The way he said, in the video - "I told Dana, how about I just come down there and beat your fucking ass" was amazing. Dude had dead, terrifying eyes.

I would not wanna fuck with Matt Hume. Ever. Ever.
