While I generally agree, he shouldn't have been betting on games he was involved in - neither as a player nor a GM.
But yeah, I'd be shocked if he ever faded the Reds.
I don't think there is evidence that he lost on purpose. I just find him distasteful due to the fact that he lied for years and years and only can clean to sell a book.
