Her BJJ is obviously significantly better than the other women in her weight class, but her initial fight against a "striker" ended in a decision- despite Dern being able to take her down fairly easially and maintain a dominant position on the ground she could not get a sub.
On the plus side, she looked reasonably athletic on her feet and did not freak out when hit. I think she will do well in MMA, but it seems unlikely that she (or anyone else) is going to be as dominant as Ronda was- especially now that WMMA is maturing a bit.

You imply she will be Champ. Joanna has some pretty damn good TD defense and on the feet will destroy Dern, no matter how good of a student and how hard she works will get to the level of the current Champs striking. That's a very bold prediction with only one fight under her belt.
