Salton Sea is a perfect example for a thread like this. Crazy good movie.

A lot of very popular movies on here. I was thinking that hidden gems would be lesser known. Here's another. It was pretty damn good for a low budget flick. Really picks up in the second half. Loved the end.

[VFR]

Wind River - one of the last movies released by Weinstein when the metoo started so this movie got buried pretty quick but its fantastic, one of the best gun fights ever. Plus Elizabeth Olsen ass on display.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - some of the best cinematography and score I've ever witnessed in a film, especially the opening sequence when they are setting up the train robbery. Incredible performances by both Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck.

Sound of Metal - My favorite movie from the last 5-6 years.
