How many per year or how many years between seeing them...

I'm in Oregon 50 miles from the coast and I can see them maybe 6-10 times a year but I think that is on the upper end. Spring is peak rainbow season from what I have experienced.

Here in upstate SC, I see them probably at least a dozen times or more a year. We see a bunch of double rainbows, for some reason. I think I had seen maybe one double rainbow in my life before moving here.

I live in a predominately Muslim part of town where a rainbow will get you chucked off a roof or stoned

I didn’t realize there was another Upstater here. Agree, we see them pretty frequently.

They do come in doubles and triples most often here, or a strong single
I think all rainbows go to infinity but under certain rare conditions you can see 1, 2, 3, 4...
