Two weeks off the foot. Use crutches if I have to move. I removed the third toe today because I did not want to go thru the ordeal again mentally.
The Nurse Surgeon and Wife all agreed with my choice. I was not getting better and at the two week visit most likely would had to come out. I am tired of the pain medicine feeling.

I actually feel pretty good today but there was a period when the numbness wore off my brain could feel I was missing toes and it freaked out.

My wife held my hand and we talk, laughed and watched some TV eating ice cream for about two hours then the sensation was gone. We took a short nap and now it is much better with the sensation. The doctor said a toe would not be noticeable. He said something like,we do not think about our toes often, it is not like losing an arm or a leg.

I was actually excited and happy this morning, kind of confusing the nurses until I explain How incredibly lucky I was to have them taking care and treating me. It could have been a major surgery or I could have been in a less fortunate country not recieving this medical care like this. I thanked everyone today I could. The hospital in this town is top notch for under twenty thousand people.

Sorry I rambled and I will keep you all updated. Thank you KVR.

I appreciate you talking about this because I desperately wanted to ask but didn't want to drop a joke that missed while you're going through some private hell and shit.

Stay super hydrated for the next couple weeks, will genuinely help the healing process and having to get up and piss all the time will be good for you:)

Just that side though....

Have they talked about prosthetic insoles or anything? Or are you not there yet?

I have to wear a full inch insert in my left shoe since I shattered the top of my femur 19 years ago.
