And their mama abandoned them (if they come out of hiding it's because their mom didn't come back) would you take care of them and try to nurse them until they can be released?
I'm going to say no for those particular creatures. I would try if it's a bird or rabbit or even a raccoon but chipmunk are pests so I would let mother nature take it's course and let the hawks feast. Is this terrible of me? I'm an avid gardener and those squirrel bastards are a terror always stealing and digging everything.
Now to be clear I would never intentionally hurt a squirrel or any animal, I am an animal lover but squirrels, chipmunks and mice I'm just saying I wouldn't help them survive so they can multiply, I would let nature do it's thing.
