He's the clown we're all duped into pointing and laughing at while the real heroes' names can't be spoken.
This is a huge understatement. He didn't just get these people harassed, he had their lives ruined. They had to move. They lost jobs, family and friends over it. After their kids had been massacred. Fuck that guy for profiting off of it. He deserves every dollar he ever collected off of that lie and future dollars made off of his name DQ'd. MINIMUM.

Some of his loyal listeners harrassed and threatened the parents. And not only online - they went to the town to investigate and stalk these people. Pretty gross.
Alex was hit with a cease and desist order. He doubled down.
The fine is bullshit, but Jones definitely pushed this one hard.

They don't even try to use subtlety anymore. They're all too comfortable in their roles as master manipulators.
Bill Cooper is right that AJ didn't fact-check and "rode the high", reporting before verifying. AJ got better at this over time, certainly after Sandy Hook.
AJ and Bill did interview and meet and got along swell.
There is almost no human way to perfectly gauge the impact of Alex Jones.
He woke me up about so much crap I don't even know where I'd be without the guy.
I haven't listened to him really in 10 years, but know full well he:
- Is NOT cointelpro
- Is not a CIA asset
- Is not a "crazed conspiracy theorist"
Dude has been right about so many things for so long it would take a library dedicated to it.

By Jones' own admission he didn't "infiltrate" Bohemian Grove back in the day, he was invited. None of them will bring up Seth Rich, but they for sure know his story. They're all controlled. All of them.
Not only that, but when he had the opportunity to defend himself in court, he chose to no show and not provide the documents required...which led to a default judgement.

I read his book back in 2001 and the most outlandish part to me was the report of a UFO popping up out of the ocean and disappearing into the atmosphere. Not so outlandish anymore now that the reports are confirmed. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

He showed. I think it was the later trials after he saw how it was going to go down that he elected not to go.
There is a doc on Netflix about it. I think it was called The Truth vs Alex Jones. It definitely doesn't paint him in a favorable light, but they had footage of him being at the trials - and even apologizing and shaking hands with some of the parents.
So are you and I, but that's not the point.
