Yep, I would point them to a history of the weather underground. I do find it amusing that when you google weather underground now all the top searches are for a weather app with an interesting history. Almost like it was created to get people from seeing the true WUO history through google search.

The company is based in San Francisco, California and was founded in 1995 as an offshoot of the University of Michigan internet weather database. The name is a reference to the 1960s radical left-wing militant organization the Weather Underground, which also originated at the University of Michigan.[2][3] The name, formerly UM-Weather, was changed to Weather Underground in 1991 due to feedback from the National Science Foundation[4] in response to Perry Samson's proposal for funding.[3] Weather Underground has since adopted the nickname Wunderground in addition to Weather Underground.

Jeff Masters, a doctoral candidate in meteorology at the University of Michigan working under the direction of Professor Perry Samson, wrote a menu-based Telnet interface in 1991 that displayed real-time weather information around the world. In 1993, they recruited Alan Steremberg and initiated a project to bring Internet weather into K–12 classrooms. Weather Underground president Alan Steremberg wrote "Blue Skies" for the project, a graphical Mac Gopher client, which won several awards. When the Mosaic Web browser appeared, this provided a natural transition from "Blue Skies" to the Web.

Leftists are not liberals is what I've learned. It's the same thing as conservatives and the far right but the far right is no longer as organized. Another thing to note is conservatives and far right are being lumped together as one which completely weakens both as they are all being placed on watchlists.

Just send them here, there are plenty of left leaning gun owners, but the far left and the far right that are so off the spectrum, those are the ones to be concerned about. And they are both out there.

This 1000 percent. MAGA has become equal definition to the left to the far right lunatics, personally I want America great again but I get caught in the definition net.

We should start a MABA movement and see how that takes off.

This is a place for liberal gun-owners who want to discuss gun ownership absent the "noise" of most right-leaning pro-gun forums.

"Liberal" here is "left-of-center", in US political terms. Liberal/Leftist/Progressive. Those who would identify as Democrats, Progressives, Socialists, &c. This does not mean "classical liberal" or right-leaning libertarians.

I'm really not too shook about it. I'm trying to imagine a circumstance where I have to fight these people off.

For one, I am optimistic that authorities have eyes on these groups. The "right" doesn't really need to prepare for shit unless we're talking about a complete breakdown of society like mad max. Which will probably never happen. Therefore these people are plotting to break the law and will be dealt with by police, fbi, swat, or martial law if it comes to that. They are not light years ahead of any of the aforementioned. They're wasting their lives and they're likely useful idiots.

Interesting article on how the left has been preparing for Monday and how they recruit and train street activists, including antifa. I'm not convinced the ceremony has been moved indoors because of the weather. It's only going to be a few degrees colder than Obama's first inauguration. I think the Secret Service is concerned.

Antifa is a bunch of heroine using losers who come from broken homes in Portland and Seattle, who are used by Democrats (like Soros) to carry about domestic terrorist acts for a few bucks that they can buy more heroine with.

They're basically Nirvana and AIC without the musical talent.

Antifa has been around since the 30s and is far stronger & organized than you want to admit.

Do not underestimate them based on some blue haired skinny fats you've seen on TV, those are the dorks they send out as fodder.

There are layers and levels to it.
They are armed, they are trained, and they are waiting.... the kids fighting proud boys and throwing rocks at cops aren't even their JV team. Those people are basically people that know nothing and are trying to affiliate themselves with something they don't understand.

Real ANTIFA are hardcore communists that believe in violent revolution.
