Alexa Grasso doesn't need to make any money. I will take care of her.

Me first, asshole! Don't even try it, or you will be :cockblockedsad:

Doesn't the UFC pretty much unofficially own Invicta or do I have it all wrong?

Not That I'm aware of.. I've talked to Shannon a lot over the years.. and she's emphatically stated she will never sell it.

I think what SickEye meant by unofficially is, they don't own stake in it, but they're tight with Shannon and basically have a deal in place for Invicta to be a feeder league...and my guess is, Zuffa funds them (helps keep them afloat) to do so.

Correct me if I'm wrong SickEye.

The UFC doesn't own a stake in Invicta. They just have an exclusive digital distribution deal with Invicta.

they are tight with Zuffa, that is already known.. they allowed them to take their entire 115lb and 135lb divisions.. that was obvious.. but she's smart.. had she not played ball she would have gotten fucked just like affliction, WFA, Bodog etc.. Zuffa plays dirty as fuck.

Do we have any idea of their overall income? I hesitate to shit on these smaller orgs pay structures, as I know they don't get much if any PVP money and have no idea on their gates, so it makes it hard to gauge what is fair(50%). I really believe that MMA needs something equivalent to an Ali act or fighters in every level of the sport will continue to get fucked.

That's pretty much what I mean right here...they are 'playing ball' together.

Invicta obviously poses no threat to the UFC the way Strikeforce, Pride, etc. did, but they do offer something that the UFC can potentially use...women fighters.

Like RVD said, the UFC basically poached the Invicta 115lb division for TUF, and I don't ever remember reading about any riffs or rivalries between the UFC and Invicta.

You know Dana...if he doesn't have something bad to say about a rival organization, he's probably in bed with them.

Those salaries are really not that bad. If you're not a UFC name, you have no selling power. The disparity is obviously huge between Cyborg and everyone else but my guess is that the UFC may be helping fund her because I don't see how Invicta could cover such a huge purse. Think about the UFC doing an all female card. How many PPVs would it sell? Then make it only available over the internet. PPVs drop way more. Then change the name to anything other than "UFC". I think Invicta are doing well to pay their fighters 4 figures.

That money is about right and I have no issue with it. I just wish people would stop bitching about Bellator's payouts. They are where they need to be as well for the size of promotion they are.

Good point Leigh. And hearing this from a fighter, sometimes puts things in perspective for us fans that think every fighter is being low-balled and is deserving of more pay. Reality check.

Invicta is making money from the Fightpass deal. I don't think Zuffa is fronting them

I could be wrong but I thought I read a year ago or so that Zuffa is paying Cyborg.

FRB saying the same thing. Makes sense.
