Marvel Finally Confirms An Iron Fist Netflix Series! | moviepilot.com

"...here's a brief explanation of Iron Fist's character.

Iron Fist, otherwise known as Daniel "Danny" Rand is a martial arts expert and a wielder of the mystical force "iron fist" which allows him to focus his inner energy (chi) to give him a number of abilities, including enhanced speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, senses and healing factor. He can also focus his energy to make his fist incredibly hard, durable and immune to pain: a power which leaves him exhausted."

Not much info right now, but there were rumors of this being made into a film, or not being made at all. Curious to see who they cast. So far, the Netflix Marvel shows have been full of win. Hopefully the streak continues with Luke Cage & Iron Fist.

This could be awesome if they follow the Fraction series. I'd love to see just ine episode devoted to the origin. No interest in seeing a whole series devoted to Danny Rand going to K'un Lun, learning what's what and coming back to NYC. Start him out on the streets. Intro the Iron Fist as a character that has existed through history and then show danny rand getting the dragon's heart in one episode.

Looking forward to this, the Daredevil and Jessica Jones series were awesome and a series is by far the best way to introduce a character like Iron Fist that has so much mythos behind him that's only tangentially related to the current MCU.

Wonder how they're going to handle the origins etc? DD && JJ did it in pretty similar flashback manners, so I hope they do something a bit different.

Since Crane Mother was in Daredevil, I think they're going to follow Iron Fist's story from the books and work it in with what happened in Daredevil.

UPDATE:
Rumours are Finn Jones aka Loras Tyrrell from Game of Thrones is playing Danny Rand/Iron Fist.

i liked jessica jones and daredevil has been good im on episode four might get through 2 seasons in a week. Im looking forward to the punisher. Would be nice to see netflix take on dredd.

I'd be surprised if we don't get another season.
They're working on the Defenders then I bet we'll get seasons 3 of daredevil and 2 of Jessica, Luke and Iron Fist.

imo the comic book stories work a lot better in a TV show than a movie. The story can get much more in depth over a season rather than 2 hours (obviously) so really excited for them to make more shows like this!!

I don't like any superhero stuff....seems like that is 70% of the new content lately
I like period pieces

Netflix just did a period piece and it is dogs shit (frontier)
