Show wasnt great but it also isn't as bad as rotten tomatoes says it is. some unintentional moments of comedy with him appearing to be a crazy rapey homeless guy to everyone in the first episode. it is definitely the weakest show from any of the members in the defenders.

Imo this one was better than Luke Cage and Jessica Jones and I enjoyed both those.
It suffers from the same problem of story pacing as all the other series. Marvel/Netflix should go to a 10 episode format.
Looking forward to the Defenders.

Hopefully they keep Punisher as a separate thing. He's a boring character and I'm not really interested in seeing more of him.

I hated Shane in the walking dead and was pissed when they cast Jon Bernthal as Punisher (I was also pissed when the cast donofrio as kingpin, mainly because of his size, but he owned that part). But I figured with my apprehension about Kingpin and the way they came through I'd give it a chance. I'm glad I did because he was god damn incredible.

I'm not sure I could watch 13 episodes with him as the lead but I'd give it a shot.

Really? I thought Bernthal killed it. The graveyard scene was Oscar worthy.

A few eps in I gotta say my opinion didn't change much. It has a few interesting twists and turns, but is very soap-opera-ish in an irritating way and just seems light on the interesting stuff. They make a lot of mystery out of stuff where its really not needed, and where it should be its just not there, like the hand seems to be weak and open as fuck.
And way too much lazy writing!

And I am particularly unimpressed with most fights, really expected more than a lot of cuts and shaky cam out of what should be awesome martial-art sequences for this particular hero. There is some cool stuff in there, but its fetched few and far between.

Its not horrible, but.. yeah, I don't see what could come now to save it from definitely being the weakest of the Netflix Marvels.

I'm talking about the character himself. There's nothing interesting about the Punisher.
It's just the Punisher killing mobsters or drug lords or gangsters. It's played out.

I felt cage lost some steam towards the end but I still enjoyed it. I never finished Jessica jones. I've got about 3 episodes left but kind of got sick of it. Loved both seasons of daredevil though.
I almost gave up on Jessiica Jones but stuck w/it just cause and am glad I did. While I rank it under DD/LC, the portrayal of the villian was very enjoyable to watch. Once he became more involved the show took a jump up imo. Just a thought.

Iron Fist wasn't as bad as the critics were saying. It is for sure the weakest of the 4 so far but I did find myself continually ready to watch the next episode as the storyline caught my attention later in the season actually. I thought it actually got stronger as the season progressed. Just my .02

Iron Fist was surely better than Luke Cage, and arguably better then Jessica Jones, and the villain carried the whole series in the latter case.

Kilgrave's dialogue carried Jessica Jones from start to finish. He was the most lovable villain since Tim Robbins in Arlington Road.

Oh I agree on Killgrave being massive for JJ.

I meant what did carry Ironfist?
Characters? No. Actors? No. Plot? Barely, pretty 08/15 with some good twists, but it didn't feel executed that well. Dialogue? Hell no. Fights? Unfortunately, no.

The intrigue never really caught on, and the rest was very soap-opera-ish. As I said though, it wasn't horrible, it was just not that good and had nothing outstanding or original to offer.

A few episodes in with Iron Fist, not bad so far.

Much better than Jessica Jones. As were Daredevil and Luke Cage.

Punisher should outshine them all.
My ranking is
1)Daredevil
2)luke cage
3)jessica jones

10)ironfist

I did not even finish the first Jessica Jones episode. Unlikable character and cliche character. I did not get into it.
Wow. I thought that one was the best. It was a superhero series for people who dont give a shit about super heroes. More a commentary on mens physical control over women and others...

I would recommend sticking with it, Kilgrave is the up there asone of the best bad guys going in TV. Ironically behind Wilson Fisk who was also legitimately awesome.

Also, Moriaty in the Sherlock series. Love it or hate it his character is brilliantly polarising and dark, even if it comes over as camp. I thought he was legit creeepy.

I may return to that show, but there's so much things to watch, I doubt I'll get to it anytime soon.

I've watched a couple and while I'm not really enjoying it I'll persevere because The Defenders is out on August 18th. Going to be a slog, methinks.

Just read some synopsis beforehand then, no need to force yourself to watch a show.

I haven't finished it yet I'm up to episode 8. I hate the female characterisation she's a Japanese martial artist and he comes in trying to teach her Chinese Kung Fu. Next she's seen using a wooden dummy a Chinese Wing chun practice tool, then she uses incredibly sloppy grappling techniques in her unrealistic cage fights.

Finn is ok it's pretty obvious when the stunt double him, not Hannibal Smith A team obvious though. So far enjoying it more than Luke Cage.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones still top of the heap imo
