Could be the first PPV where someone gets over 5 stars twice in one night.
Yeah... this isnt good.
It's funny, the ending sequence was slick as shit, but also, made no sense.
Okada sucks.
I'm a big fan of Statlander and watching her continually be geeked by hacky talent like Sasha is ridiculous. For reference, I don't think she's Bret Hart, but you can see she has potential. She has a look, she has size, and she's decent.
Of course the guy booking also just cut Jay White's balls off. Again.
Statlander is arguably the biggest whiff in AEW (certainly of their women's division) in years.
Got herself very over (even with the silly - but fun - alien gimmick), they turned her heel (which audiences didn't seem ready for or into), she was getting herself over as a heel, then AEW randomly turns her face for no reason.
And then job her out to one of the worst talents they have. They did make sure to have Mercedes Phone kick out of things that hospitalize people on the other program though. Because you know, reasons.
Mone irks TF outta me. She has the capability to put on some of the best matches & gimmick work you'll ever see.
But ONLY if she actually tries, and she ONLY tries if she likes how she's being booked. And if she doesn't, she absolutely phones it in...there is zero in-between with her.
I mean, you can watch her walk to the ring & tell if it's gonna be a suck-tastic effort or not by the look on her face.
Putting any kinda $$$ or push behind her is crazy to me, considering you *never* know what you're gonna get with her on a week-to-week basis.
I mean, she quite literally walked out of her last job - while a champion, mind you - because she didn't like her booking.

No, no she doesn't. She benefitted from marks grossly overrating what happens in Japan.

Problem is that she's not super coordinated. Like her non-frog frog splash.
Also... her 'new' finisher is fucking garbage and always looks like a botch.
AEW really just needs to build around Statlander, Anna Jay, Mariah May, Toni Storm, and Julia Hart.
