He's a creep, no doubt about that. But if I recall correctly (from research for work), 16 is the age of consent in Indiana. At least as of 5 ish years ago. I believe some of his charges are also for taking them across state lines or something. I hadn't heard anything about the cameras or 12 year olds. I don't think prison is a strict enough punishment for the shit. On the plus side, he is fucked for life regardless of how many years he serves. I don't know if he actually graduated college or has any real marketable skills other than being a fat guy who got less fat. I'm not sure how big of a market there is for that.

Meet the Dog Investigators Say Helped Catch Ex-Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle

One of the key players to cracking the case against former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle has a keen sense of smell and four legs.

His name is Bear and he's a dog trained to sniff out electronic media devices, including a hidden flash drive that Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Debrota said was vital to the investigation. The 2-year-old Labrador retriever helped find evidence at Fogle's home in Zionsville, Indiana, when authorities raided the house in early July.

Bear was trained for four months to detect items like thumb drives, iPads and SD cards, ABC affiliate WRTV reported from Indianapolis. Bear has worked about five investigations for the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force, including Fogle's property.

seems like they are keeping that information secret.

Electronics-Sniffing Dogs Help Solve Cybercrimes - D-brief

To fight computer crimes, Hubball tested circuit boards, flash drives and other electronics components to isolate a single common chemical in each device, which police are keeping under wraps. After isolating the chemical, it was a matter of homing dogs’ sniffers onto the telltale compound, as Bloomberg reported:

After months of training, the dogs were able to detect the odor of the chemical in people’s hands, concrete blocks, metal boxes and clothing. The dogs also had to ignore distracting smells such as food and coffee.

The dogs have since been involved in numerous child pornography warrants, as well as other investigations where electronic documents were key evidence. After helping with the Fogle investigation, Bear’s trainer says he’s received some 30 inquiries from police who want to buy their own electronics-sniffing dog, the International Business Times reports.
