That's not how UFC contracts work in the real world. Conor signs a new multi-fight contract every time he fights.

You renegotiate your pay if your value has gone up. The UFC puts multiple fights in the contract so that you can't leave the promotion after the fight.
People actually buy Conor PPVs
Jones last few fights were hardly worth streaming.

People buy Jon's PPVs as well. Not on Conor's level, but still decent

I think you have forgotten Jones last 2 fights? He may get murdered by Ngannou.
Yeah he has looked on the decline for a while and I actually had him losing the Santos fight, but I can’t stand the fucker so I am bias.

I hope he does get murdered but this is Jon Jones, one of the most cerebral combat sports athletes of all time, with an amazing camp of game planning masters.

Francis looked good against Stipe, low kicks , high kicks , a stiff jab, good distance control, his takedown defence into that hard sprawl and ground and pound was outstanding, that left hook to finish Stipe was absolutely perfect and probably the best punch he has ever thrown, Stipe was rocked and coming forward with reckless abandon but still it was a beautiful shot.

I just can’t bet against Jones in this one, it’s the fight of his life, he will be at his best and at his best and motivated he is a killer.

Is that really Jones fault ?

When you are on a streak of defences like he was at LHW it’s hard to generate the interest , some fighters do but it’s down to the style they employ and their built in fan base.

GSP had a country to behind him, McGregor has more plastic paddy’s than a gift shop in the temple bar backing him up, along with a huge travelling fan base, until he shit the bed and killed his home support. Brock had the freak of nature angle and all his pro wrestling fan boys.

Rousey had the hateable bitch angle and a talent pool that couldn’t deal with her clinch to arm bar, there was a mystique there and people tuned in to see her lose as well, she was a decent heel.

Jones is an unlikeable cunt, but it hasn’t really translated to buys in most of his fights because the prospect of him losing doesn’t seem real to a lot of people. That said there is no doubt in my mind him vs Ngannou will sell like fuck.

He might be a complete wanker out side of the cage but in it he is one of the best we have ever witnessed, this fight would be a massive test for him at HW, it is compelling , it is dangerous for him for health and legacy, as much as I hate to admit it the UFC should pay the man what he is asking for, he’s more than earned it.

This is why you stay off the internet when you drink at 6 pm. I just read this whole thread wondering what happened to the Fury fight and PFL and Stipe. Jesus.
