Lol more or less, but with better backgrounds.
Is it like this?
I haven't, but ill check it out now though.Based on what I'm seeing now, I'll likely stick with cardboard until I see more investment by developers and probably wait on a gen 2. Oculus has been in development so long I'm reasonably confident it will be pretty ready and leaps and bounds ahead of where cardboard and analogues are now, but I figure the early focus will be the gamer market which I'm not really a part of.
Did you happen to see the 2 at a time video? I finally got my hands on that and it pretty much sealed the deal. Also the Orbulus app transporting me to Mars.
I was waiting to hear $2000 or something like that$10 if you buy the kit from google and put it together yourself.
$20-$25 if you buy a preassembled one like I did. Got mine from Knox Labs, which is one of the approved google devices.
Sometimes a little bit. It depends on the app. According to research, continued use accustoms you to it. I just wonder if it can have any long term impact on vision or equilibrium. Sometimes my eyes get tired.when you take the head set off do you feel dizzy or anything?
So I just put the homie @peter_weyland on. He will run down his indoctrination into virtual spaces on iOS here as I am using it on Android.
So I decided to take the next step up the ladder. I bought a new S7 and a Samsung Gear VR. So far the experience isn't that much better than cardboard to justify the cost, but it's pretty cool. I'm not a fan of the side panel navigation and feel the app store is pretty underdeveloped, but the graphics are a slight notch up and it's more comfortable on the face. Haven't watched adult cinema on it yet, but that was a treat on cardboard.
You can make a strap fairly easily with a $1 piece of velcro and some duct tape.I have a Nexus 6p and the lack of a made for device VR set is bullshit.
I didn't want the Samsung phone, but almost went that route.for the gear.
For me, movie watching is huge. I spend a lot of time on airplanes and watching stuff in the virtual theater is amazing.
Not worth it over cardboard? I'd pay the extra just for the comfort and having both hands free....for reasons.
No I haven't but I hear it's overpriced and that you may as well get oculus or a console based device at its price point even at the loss of mobility. I think they'll all be cool though. I'm starting to explore the online communities. It's like second life but with avatars that are mimicking your head movements and using your actual voice. So the Vive's room-scale VR has been getting pretty good reviews. I think I'm ready to dive in. @Kneeblock, had a chance to play with one yet?
Like some plebian?? Not a chance. You can make a strap fairly easily with a $1 piece of velcro and some duct tape.
My first thought on what could I use this for as I don't play games.......is it possible to use it with porn? How long before it's used for pron?
