Why don't we just setup fans and blow in the opposite direction? Then the fire is stuck in the middle, easy enough to put it out.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.. slow your roll there, Captain America. Have you gotten approval from the Sierra Club yet? There's going to be studies that need exorbitant funding first.

For anyone local- once the fires are over the soils are extremely hydro-phobic due to the intense heat. What does that mean?

When any steep burned over areas get any significant rain - you get to deal with mud slides! The hits just keep coming
