I made this same thread on the other shithole site when they signed Howard and Nash. I was mocked and laughed at, but when all was said and done, I was right. Lakers had no continuity before, and adding a diva like James isn't going to help.

Lakers won 35 last year, add in the best player in the league, the expectation of Vegas they're adding another top 5 player, the progression of their very young core of players along with them getting much easier shots due to LeBron's gravity on the court..
Haven't seen what Vegas has for the over/under on the Lakers win totals, but I'm guessing it'll be higher than 50

Definitely winning more than 50 games this year. If they land another big time name they could move closer to the top of the league. They don’t need Kawhi Leonard though. He isnt as good as people think. Super athletic, but not the type of player to build a team around, imo.

Leonard is like Derick Rose 2.0. Trying to build a team around a 6 foot athlete who can’t shoot is not wise. He’s not a true point and he’s not a good 2. Solid defender, but only against the smaller guys. Pick him to a big guy on the block and he’s toast. The guy is exciting to watch, but not a guy i would lean on for championship hopes.

Leonard is a 6-7 small forward, shoots 39% from 3 & has a 55% effective field goal %, & he's the best defender in the league. Rose is none of those things & you couldn't pick a much worse player to use as a player comp to Kawhi
I hope they sign Kawhi. The conflict that would occur between him and LeBron would be hysterical. Add to that the butthurt of LeBron bringing the ball up court instead of Lonzo who is anything but a great spot up shooter and his retarded daddy going on tirades about why his kid ain't getting the ball would make for magical TV. Lonzo would have a good chance of winning the much coveted 12th man of the year award.
