I agree and do not feel like the time taken helps with character development it's just more runaround. I'm assuming that they are trying to convey how disorienting it is to live with schizophrenia. But I'm finding the plot exposition is too plodding and disjointed for me to develop any lasting attachment to the characters.
Agreed. In the last ep there are some more interesting reveals about the chars and even the protagonist, but as you put it so well, it all came with a lot of runaround, and I hardly care about the other chars, even his girlfriend or sister, heck, even himself at points. Most interesting char here is 'the monster'.
Its still an interesting enough journey that I will continue watching though, and artistically its very well done, and just, different and new.
I guess with the build-up and first ep a lot of people expected a different show tho, me included. But, I see why it is what it is. I mean, what are you gonna do with a char as powerful as that? You either go full force planet-wide-fighting some sort of demi-god as opponent, with devastating effect to everything in this universe, which would make it impossible to keep all the other important Marvel (or X-men)-chars out of the equation, or you have him battle inside his head.
They do the latter and full force.
