Guys we can clearly see a lot of people have put in some serious time and effort to make this place great, and so far the reception has been amazing from everyone who has joined and posted BUT!!! I still saw so many people primarily posting on the other site. Listen guys i know firsthand how hard it is to change forums trust me i get it, but lets just make this place our new home and our primary place for news and MMA discussions.

IWEI goes on twitter all the time trying to make sure he gets the latest news and info and brings it here. Sure the other site has been around for AGES! so they still have a bit of an upperhand on somethings but the only way to help that is to post here more.

I know guys like Touch is awesome over there with all his pictures and stuff like that but we can do that here also. I dont have to go into how i feel about the other site because i would just be a broken record, you all have heard it before. I have not seen one discussion here where someone has been called a faggot or shot down for an opinion and to be honest for me that is the biggest positive.

I could go into more detail and even call some people out and i really want to call one guy out specifically for some bullshit but i wont because that isnt what we are all about and what would that do other than start a problem and take away from what is trying to be done over here.

Again i get that it will take some time for this place to reach that status of a site that has been around for so long but damn man, we dont have to pay for shit here to post pics, we dont have crazy censorship which is also key because you all know we like to go off once in awhile, no shills here that you can get banned for calling out, again i could go on and on, but lets just remember how good it is here.

I know old habits are hard to break but fuck it lets break em and when this place gets to be EPIC we will all know how it started and how we all made that possible.

Excellent posting OP and I second all of it. I am actually quite surprised at how many posts don't include much more pics or gifs as its free and easy. Its my favorite part of any discussion ass so much can be conveyed in an image of some sort. We have an awesome core group so far and a great vibe going with solid threads and huge props to the Admins for getting those amazing Q&As so quick. I also owe my new love of Twitter to this place. I don't want to rush growth as it'll be a sure way to lure trolls and douches, the pace this place is growing at is better than I expected but not too fast. This IS my home for all things MMA.....for the 100th time thanks to all those who brought this to life.

You all have no idea how encouraging these posts are, when at times, doubt has crept in. I truly appreciate it, and hope everyone will indeed start posting more and creating topic discussions as well. We can provide every feature imaginable, post news seconds after it's released, etc....but at the end of the day, the success or failure of this place will come down to the people posting here - - how often they post, and the quality of the content they provide.

Splinty and I are fully invested, and here to stay.

Alright, regarding frames. I'll let Splinty get into the details because I don't know a whole lot about it, but here's what I do know. Frames are a pretty outdated way of doing forum design (per my discussion with Splinty), and it would require a lot of custom coding to accomplish (per my discussion with Splinty). So to be totally honest and transparent, it's likely not something we'll do here.

Now, with that said. I'll inform everyone of something that's recently been going on behind the scenes. We're in the process of redesigning the site on a different software. Why would you do that when this place is just now becoming awesome, you ask? Again, I'll let Splinty go into the details...but here are some reasons:

1) this software is limited in how far we can take it, with regards to features, add-ons, custom apps, etc.

2) the new software has a TON of new features that will address a lot of the requests folks have made here. A big one is, automatic updating and notification when someone makes a new post to a thread. A perfect example of how that will improve things is, you will no longer have to refresh fight threads. You'll simply be in the thread, and see a pop up that says "I Wild Each It just made a new post", you click that and the new posts will appear. It's going to make fight threads a much more enjoyable experience. There are just a ton of cool features on the new software, that this one doesn't have. Too many to list really.

3) It will be faster. This software has a bit of a lag...like when someone makes a post, it might take a few seconds to show up. Or if you like a post, it may take a few seconds to execute it. The new software won't have that.

There is more but I'll let Splinty make a thread on it, when he gets it all ironed out. He's in the process of redoing the design, then he'll transfer everything over, and then we'll do the switch at a time when there isn't much going on in the MMA world. But trust me, there will be no other MMA site out there that will offer members what we do, when this is done.

The look of the site will be the same, the chat will roll over, the threads and karma will all roll over, etc. Really nothing will change, except the number of features we will be able to offer.

That is an example of our commitment to providing you all the best product possible. So please, stick around, post more often, create new content, etc. This place is going to be awesome when it's all said and done.

I've been a mudnamer over at the UG since day one; somebody bought me a blue for like 3 months, and that's the only time I was a blue. As a mud, of course, you can't post any pics, so the inability is almost hardwired into me. I'll slowly creep into the pic-posting lifestyle here, after I learn to except it or my girl tries to lick my pooper.
