I think they were sold at some point. I wasn't paying attention.
sold to Remington (Remington is owned by Freedom Group) in 08, started to see QC issues more than before, then moved the factory in 11 and it turned in to a shit show.

I've killed more deer with marlin 30-30 than any other rifle combined. The one I use is 30ish years old. No idea if that makes it better or worse than other years. But 100ish yards and closer I freaking love it. Simple, accurate, reliable

My current go-to is a browning x-bolt medallion in 30-06 but that marlin will always be what I spent most of my first 10 years or so using

Shout Out to the Browning BLR. Grandpa had one in 30-06, first lever action and first hi-power rifle I shot.

Ugly as sin in church, but that rifle would drop coyotes easy as kickin daisies.

i think the most beautiful rifle in the world is the Schmidt-Rubin K31, so WTF do I know?

I have one that looks real close to that but I'm betting it isn't the same. It was a gift. Not sure what it is. Have to check

To be fair, I do get some of the hate the BLR gets from the traditional lever gun crowd. Personally I think they should have just put a full lug under the barrel to give them the traditional look, but I'm also just an unfrozen caveman.

K31, eh? That's an interesting choice.

I am more of a bolt action fan but I would totally buy a lever action right now. I have handled one once and was always fascinated. Nice choice in gun and a positive yes from me kind sir

If you’re willing to wait on something find an old Winchester or a Marlin that has the JM barrel stamp. If you want to just drive to a local gun store and grab something off the shelf go Henry.

bought one on a whim for $89, took it out to the 500 yard range, put up a 10" gong, and loaded 5 rounds in the magazine (didn't know it held 6), and set the elevation on the rear sight

1st shot was low right, adjusted elevation one notch and applied Kentucky windage. 2nd shot was a little right, adjust POA.
Ding.

it instantly became the most beautiful rifle in the world. Then I dissembled and cleaned it up, and the genius of the Swiss became undeniable. The trigger is a work of elegant perfection. The bolt is a marvel of precision and reliability. The freaking ammo is a story unto itself. And I even had a couple with the original owner's info under the butt-plate. Just cool in every way.
