don't get me wrong, I'm on the "never shoulda gone" side of the Afghan War so I'm all about bringing the troops home from literally every foreign country.

But remember when he grew the Pentagon annual budget to $725B?
What do you think would hurt the Deep State more: pulling 4k troops out of Kabul, or cutting their budget to equal the next highest nation (China: $261B)?

"I brought the Troops home" was a re-election talking point that would have carried a lot of water with MAGAstanis. But he put Swamp Monsters around Mattis, and when Mattis finally said Fuck This, Pres Trump replaced him with a 30yr Exec from Boeing. And when that guy left he replaced him with an AEROSPACE DEFENSE LOBBYIST.

But these are things he said:

He was popular with the boots on the ground until Mattis left. But look at what Pres Trump said and compare it to what he did:
He said the problem with the Pentagon was that Defense Industry ran the DoD (MAGAstan talking point).
But then when he was tasked with appointing someone to head the DoD he put career Defense Industry executives and lobbyists in the big chair.

It sucks that some people (especially today in America) are making politics almost a form of religion. We are praising all these old nasty people who are living for money and power. Not actually worrying about what matters, like the way the entire world treats the continent of Africa. Talk to me when we are all as a world looking to fix that continent instead of rape and pillage them for their resources.
