220k for a 13th floor penthouse is too expensive? It could use some upgrades and the HOA fees are pretty high but the price is pretty reasonable.

It's 220k to live in a decrepit ass tower. Fuck that noise.

That's the expensive part of the tower. Still fooling yourself if you think that's a good deal. I wouldn't pay half of that if there was an alternative.

Yes Detroit has bad areas, but it is a gigantic city and there are plenty of good areas, and the city is getting better in general every year.

I'd rather spend my money elsewhere and earn more. I wouldn't invest anything in Detroit because it's a downslide dump. Anything you invest is lost. Hence that gross apartment that you claim is a great deal. It's not.

The owner really wants out and will take way less
