Would have prefered a 5 rounder, Maia could grind this out now but hoping Condit can get the win.

This is going to be an interesting fight, because Carlos is so offensive and effective off of his back. It's possible he could hurt Maia from bottom with elbows, etc...or he could get submitted lol.

Yea i think this one is 50/50. Love these kinda fights where one of them has to get it to the ground and the other keep it standing. UFC 202 is already shapeing up nicely.

im sure Wonderman would have something to say about that ;)
WonderBoy should definitely be first. I'm saying since this fight happens in August a couple of months after Wonderboy's win, this fight should decide the next shot after Wonderboy. They did a cool thing by having the two top contenders fight the two guys who just BARELY lost to the champ.

I'm a big Maia fan so I'm definitely rooting for him, but I am nervous about Condit standing up and landing shots on Maia in the transition. I'm excited!

Yeah this is a definite possibility. Condit is good during entry and he excels at getting a few extra clean shots in during separation. I think if he wins it's because he landed a big shot in one of those spots.

This will prove what Maias ceiling is at this new weight class. Easily his biggest test in his new found form.

He wins this he's gotta be right in the title hunt.

Great matchup. Should be a great fight

I'm interested to see if anyone can keep Maia off them.......something tells me that a Jackson coached condit will get it done........

This is a legit point. Has Maia faced anyone out of Jackson's recently? My brain is getting tired and lazy

Condit is super slippery on the ground but Maia is just a beast at bjj and imposing his will and game. I can't stand it but I have to respect it

I don't think so. Condits takedown defense has never been that good. He excels with cardio and heart. If this was 5 rounds I would definitely give him the advantage. Maia always gasses towards the end.
