Floyd Mayweather Jr. is making it official what we already knew was coming for weeks -- TMZ Sports has learned his fight with Manny Pacquiao is set, the deal is signed -- and they'll be getting it on in Vegas on May 2nd.

As we previously reported, the two fighters reached an agreement to get in the ring back in January -- and the major issues, including date and location have been set for weeks.

The fight is expected to be the richest contest in boxing history -- with both pugilists projected to take in well over 100 million dollars.

Good work if you can get it folks ...

Fight will be terrible. Floyd is just too hard to get too and too defensive. 12 rounds boring fight will cost 85 dollars to watch

Even though i dont find Mayweather that interesting to watch, I think he outpoints Pacman on this. Pac comes in hard looking for a finish but Mayweather will always get a few jabs in and then move. Rinse, repeat for a 12 round decision for Floyd.

I hope Manny gets a knockdown though.

Me too. The only fights I watch are those 2 and khan. I watched ggg last fight too. But I'm seriously considering being in Vegas for this one. The hype between now and may 2nd is going to big the biggest the sport has ever seen
