Michelle Waterson excited for new opportunities outside of MMA with agents at WME-IMG

Michelle Waterson will always be a fighter first, but she will have a lot of new opportunities coming her way after signing on with WME-IMG to represent her as a talent agency.

Waterson signed with the agency following her first-round submission win over Paige VanZant this past December and now she’s already been booked for her next fight against Rose Namajunas at FOX UFC Fight Night in Kansas City in April.

As far as her interests outside the Octagon, Waterson says there are a ton of possibilities, including acting roles and maybe even working on a book at some point down the road

Agreed but is that going to translate into a positive for the sport of MMA? I'm happy to see these guys getting doors opened for them but for the next generation coming in how much of a priority is it to be a great fighter now that the direction is to just get recognition and move on to things outside of fighting? This could be great for individuals who are fortunate enough to get that push but for the fan base looking for great fights this could be bad.

She'll have Paige's movie deals and her dressing room too soon.
