Thanks for the concern, but there is 2 feet of ice, and basically zero danger if a guy is smart and does things like keeping the truck speed under 23 km/h. I'll be driving on for at least another month. You guys are fucking INSANE, you realize you could die if that ice cracks and you fall in right?
This thread makes me feel worse than the youtube videos of kids doing stupid shit at the top of cranes.
Please be safe out there guys I really worry about yous
I watched some limeys walking on a lake for the first time a few years ago. There was 2-3 feet of ice, but these 2 were tiptoeing along, unable to believe they were safe. As a dumbass who sometimes goes out on 2-3 inches of ice, I was quite amused.Dude, that looks like great fun! Fuck, i wish we had snow here, but get nothing here on south coast of England. Just grey skies and traffic. Fuck i need to emigrate.
Im a person from the tropics only seen snow a few times in my life and avoided it (Stayed indoors my whole first trip to Korea because it was snowing)Thanks for the concern, but there is 2 feet of ice, and basically zero danger if a guy is smart and does things like keeping the truck speed under 23 km/h. I should have also mentioned, I'm a rigger, so I also do stupid shit on cranes, towers, etc. I've spent a lot of hours a few hundred feet up in the air, hanging in a basket from a crane boom or on the outside of a fractionation tower. Except unlike those dumb kids, I am well trained and get paid very well for it.You guys are fucking INSANE, you realize you could die if that ice cracks and you fall in right?

Certain lakes have currents or springs that can cause weakness in the ice. Sometimes there are thin spots where frost heaves form. Basically the ice is forced up to form a ridge that could be a few inches or 8 feet high and can be miles long.Im a person from the tropics only seen snow a few times in my life and avoided it (Stayed indoors my whole first trip to Korea because it was snowing)
How do you know that its 2 foot thick in everywhere?
Are you on site, or an office guy? Is there a lot of rigger work in Oz?Cool I always wanted to be a rigger as a kid, now I just tell them what they can and cant do if they want to stay Insured...
