Anybody else catch the new trailer that debuted during Jimmy Kimmel Live last night? It looks awesome! Especially since it revealed the villain to be Doomsday. At least, that's what everybody is calling the monster in the new clip.

Has anyone from the movie confirmed that it is actually Doomsday in the movie? Looks like him, but the laser vision and him being created from Zod's body seem strange.
I could be wrong but i don't recall Doomsday having heat vision or whatever that was.
That's typical Hollywood bullshit screwing things up.
Same as the first Xmen where saber tooth and wolverine didn't even know each other but yet we all know they have the deepest history of all.

I thought it looked poor. The dialogue was cheesier than a fan-made trailer. Bizarro Zod/Doomsday is not a credible threat to Superman, who already smashed Zod. Zod's best weapon was his mind and focus; a retarded deformed clone wouldn't be an issue.

Yea, he's never had it in any of the storylines I've read. And I've read a lot of them. But if they're ditching the Kryptonian science experiment origin and going with a Lex Luthor science experiment origin and he's truly synthesized from Zod's body, I guess that heat vision would be feasible.... I guess....
My feelings as well. I guess that's why my mind was in denial about it even being Doomsday. He'd be a credible threat, but him coming from Zod's dead body is just.... meh. I've wanted to see Doomsday in a Superman movie for well over two decades, but I don't think this is what I was wanting. It could turn out to be great when I actually see the whole film, but as of now, I'm very leery of it. Well, even classic Doomsday should be relatively easy for Superman to deal with. He can't fly, so just use super breath repeatedly to blow him into the sun
The original Doomsday was made to be the perfect weapon by evolution. Every time he died, he was cloned by Bertron and he would evolve to defeat whatever killed him. He was made over thousands of years, but he evolved very quickly. So if he was killed by Superman once, theoretically he should be able to come back evolved and kill Superman. At least that's how he was portrayed in his original backstory.
Right but he just had incredible strength and durability and some level of superspeed. Superman should be able to blow him off the ground and then keep blowing him into space and into the sun and just leave him there.
Also, the Hunter/Prey writer obviously had no idea how evolution works LOL.

I read that the version we saw in the trailor wasn't his 'final form' and that towards the end of the movie he'll look closer to what we see in the comics.
My bigger issue is how they color correct everything to look so dark.

IMDB Zack Snyders work. I'm not filled with confidence. 300 was ok.
I suspect this is going to be horrible. I like the look of the bat suit, but that's about it. Batman looks idiotic in that coat though. I realise this is just from the trailer and I could be way off, but from first impressions the dialogue looks cheesy, Wonder Woman and Doomsday have been shoe-horned in, Bruce Wayne is just going to seem like Ben Affleck playing himself and the story is going to be tedious.
Why is Batman even facing off against Doomsday anyway? What's he going to do, shoot a laser gun at him? Might as well just use harsh language. If Doomsday farted in his face he'd probably die from the shock. The whole thing is nonsense. If I had to write this film, I'd have had Superman and shoe-horned in Wonder Woman fight Doomsday while Batman ninja's into trendy Lex Luthor's Googleplex and fights a load of topless female ninjas. Might as well shoe horn Deathstroke or someone in there to make it super exciting (they could get Tom Cruise to play him).
