Wilson held the team back last year
The roster is unproven because of the young players, it isn't devoid of talent. Roster does however lack depth due to the Wilson contract eating up a big chunk of the salary cap.

I'm sure you know that Denver plays KC tough and has been a play from winning a handful of games the last few years, only one W though. We always play the Chargers tough and sometimes sweep them, Harbaugh is a stud but Chargers gonna Charger. Raiders have Denvers number though, 8 game losing streak...yikes.

Sean Payton has never won less than 7 games, don't sell him short.

I think they can win 6 games easy and if some of the young talent shapes up they could win 10 and surprise everybody.

I know you're not trying to be a dick, that comes natural to you. Can't wait for the season and the AFC west matchups, we will see how they pan out.

Nix is the first Rookie QB to start for Denver in the season opener since this guy, maybe you remember this guy?

I would bet you $50 that Denver gets at least 6 wins if you are interested.
I'll pass on the bet, but thanks. If they win 6+ games it'll be because of Payton. I think his NFL coaching success is a product of Drew Brees, but I could be flat wrong about that. Getting rid of Dangeruss was a net positive no matter how you slice it.

We're gonna find out about Payton and Brees. Hard to tell who carried who or if it was just both of them working together. Sean can scheme lots of guys open from what can tell, Denver's film last year was full of wide open receivers that Russ passed on or didn't see.

NFLbite it is.
I used to be part of the group who would always pay for every service I got. I refused to pirate any football game. Now with the NFL trying to squeeze every penny I'm gonna start pirating

The cowboys hotel caught fire. They were staying in Oxnard for their training camp.

I am surprised there is a hotel in snard that they would stay in tbh...

I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick, but do Broncos fans really believe they're more than a 5 win team? You guys are objectively one of the 2 or 3 worst rosters in football and play 4 games against the Chiefs and Harbaugh.
I think we can win 6 or 7 maybe

How has Nix looked? I haven't been following.
I only watched him in the game against the Packers and some highlights from the game against the colts.
He looks a hell of a lot better than Russ did imo. More accurate and more mobile.
Even if Nix doesn't work out, I'm just so glad I don't have to watch Russ anymore.
Broncos better beat the Steelers. That's really the only game I care about right now.

One thing I find hard about Nix is that he's the type of QB who looks good in the preseason because he's a pretty safe and accurate guy. Playing against vanilla defenses he's gonna shine.

I dont think this season should matter at all for Den outside of giving Nix meaningful and safe reps for future growth. Winning 5 game or winning 10 games should not matter. Only thing that matters is giving young players like Nix a good environment for growth and meaningful reps.

Bears X is bananas. They think Caleb Williams is already Mahomes and Brady combined, only better.

All you can ask is that he processes the reads and plays against who is in front of him. He has mostly played against #2s this pre season, that is the facts. Can't wait to see him against NFL #1s with a gameplan, that has been the question with him for two years now. He has executed very well for years, but with a skill advantage so hard to project to NFL.

Team is pretty young and will have a lot of $$$ to spend next year. So it is a growing pains year if needed.

Anyone have any long shots they like to make the playoffs this season?

I think Indy has a shot if Richardson can stay healthy.

Philly's biggest question will be how their line plays without Kelce.

People underestimate how much a high level center contributes to overall line success.

That and how well will this new offense system look. Their scheme last year was not NFL caliber. I also think Hurts was more hurt than he let on. He was not moving like his old self with a healthy knee.

To me the first give away that Hurts was not 100% was that he was not squating as often pre snap. He used to always do that to get Kelce's snaps when he was in the gun and under center (obviously). Last year he hardly went under center (and it hurt their run game) and when he was in the gun he stood up more and thus lost a few fumbled snaps.
