Everyone is making this about race when it was meant to be funny (and scary). It does not bother me when a white guy dresses as a black guy when it's meant to be funny.

Always sunny was funny as fuck when they did this and no one was canceled.

Robert Downey was funny as fuck when he played a black man and no one was canceled.
They would never be able to do something like tropic thunder today.

As far as the "It's always sunny" episode...

FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is revisiting a past controversy in its current fifteenth season.

In 2020, Netflix pulled an episode of the long-running comedy titled Dee Reynolds: Shaping America’s Youth, which included an interpretation of Lethal Weapon 5. In the episode, show creator and cast member Rob McElhenny plays Danny Glover’s character, Murtaugh, and uses blackface. A later episode offers Lethal Weapon 6, which also uses blackface.

But times change, and what was once deemed funny now is viewed differently in 2021.

McElhenney acknowleged that the show sometimes goes too far in remarks at an FX Network press conference.

So yeah, that episode kind of been 'cancelled'..

They went years of this show after that EP first came on and still make money to this day off that show. This is not getting canceled. No fans are bitching about this show and wanting these people to go away.

Everyone makes this a big deal because they care. What makes Tropical Thunder so good is that they didnt give a fuck. Its a good movie and people love it.

You could make tropical thunder again today I'd you dont give a fuck. There is not enough people today with the balls to say "fuck you. I'm gonna make the movie I want. You got a problem with that then cool...don't see my shit.".

Honestly the whole "if the roles were reversed" argument is weak sause. Well reverse the roles then. Be the change you wanna see.

Yeah, RDJ in Tropic Thunder too

Nuance is lost on a lot of soap box virtue signlers though

It's usually not black people that have a big issue with it. It's white women :)

THose kind of coaches never last long. There's always an initial bump in morale and maybe performance, especially when an unpopular coach gets fired mid season, but after a while it tanks because they're usually just not very good coaches

Jeff Saturday, lol

This.

You can't have a bunch of idiot players select their HC because he's 'cool' lol.

experience matters

even some guys who have been around the league for 40 years struggle with HC game managing decisions and player relationships(Fangio)

Pierce might end up being a good HC but right now he isn't there

I thought that about Josh McDaniels after his first stint in Denver failed. BUt nope, He's just a lousy head coach.

Broncos kind of need a reliable WR who can get open but I don't think they want anybody to ruffle the locker room with diva drama
Higgins is needing a new contract? If so probably 20 mill per year or so right?
Seems cheap for Higgins, idk. He's a solid receiver.

It does seem reasonable but I don't really know what he is asking for, probably a ton of guaranteed and probably higher than 20 mil. Not sure if he is similar to some of the younger bronco prospect WRs, they have a deep WR room but none of them are very established.

Sutton is good but he can't separate and is pretty damn slow, he is huge and strong mostly.
Josh Reynolds got shot in the head at 3am strip club
rest of the wrs are super young draft picks or practice squad come ups

Seems like a solid young veteran would be good for their pass game
