When you go to a review from somebody on the field you should not have to factor in what was called
Just get the play right according to the rules
How much should how it was called on the field be worth? Seems to be a way to not call it according to the rule and factor in something else.

If you think about it, once they send a replay to NY or whatever it really shouldn't matter what is called on the field if the replay angles show something that changes the call. Get it right, isn't that what replay is about?

Yes, I understand that is specific wording in the rule as currently written. Saying that doesn't really make any sense if you want the replay to come to a proper conclusion/decision.
No reason to factor a potentially bad call into trying to get a call right via replay.
I believe that specific wording was in place before the replays were sent to NY or Central office, from back when the replay took place in a hood on the field where the call had been made.

KC obviously saw it on film a few times, you can tell they knew the play
