Remember when Miami tried to make Vic Fangio look like the problem when he was the DC there when in reality it was because Fangio expected the players to be professionals?

I remember.
Philly has an amazing roster, especially defensive
I don't recall Miami doing anything, it just didn't work out

Vic on a stacked squad is the perfect DC if you have the D roster for his scheme. Great choice by the Eagles.

It didn't work because the players didn't want to do their jobs and learn the scheme. He was saying they needed to stop going out every night and study. He then got fired and players said he was to hard on them.

The defense was top 10 that year despite numerous injuries.

He left for family reasons, he wasn't pushed out.

Haha
Sounds about right

Don't seem that way when multiple players talk shit on your way out.
Deflection is human nature

Vic also did that towards players while in Denver so it goes both ways

Yeah but when one side of the argument is revolutionary with their scheme and wins a SB with most teams trying to copy your scheme and the other side is well....Miami we can infer who was the one that was the correct one.

KC went Back to Back and that is hard to do

Philly was just better
Was that as close as anyone's been to the three-peat in the Super Bowl era?

(Strange how Green Bay's three championships in a row - twice - get ignored because the championship game hadn't been given it's little nickname back then).

Players bitching after he left is not great, I've seen Miami fans calling out the players over that though.

The defensive scheme worked, the Dolphins were tough defensively despite injuries.

He wasn't fired, he wanted out. No point trying to force a guy to work there when he was pining for his family in Pennsylvania.
